With every passing day, we see core values like trust, critical thinking, diligence and community diminished by AI and the hyper-digitalization of our existence.
The Wandering Investor brand has always been in the spirit of human interaction, on-the-ground research and growing the community of people who recognize the importance of diversifying their lives across borders. I routinely come across people trying to “find an AI solution,” or technology based alternative for the work that my team and I do. But the reality is that real estate, residencies, citizenships – all of this is a very human enterprise.
I decided to start hosting live events because I think that not only are people craving human interaction more than ever, but that there is no substitute for it. You can’t replace the insights, conversations, dinners, friendships, vibe and truth that you get from being up close and personal with people who share your pursuits.
Four months ago, 32 fellow investors joined our team in Buenos Aires for an interactive, boots-on-the-ground adventure into the new economy of Argentina. See a recap of our first live event in Buenos Aires in the video below.

The Wandering Investor Live in Panama City, September 13th – 16th
I’m a permanent resident of Panama and I frequently encourage my private clients to secure residency there. Panama combines top-tier Plan B residency, tax structure, livability and connectivity. Not to mention attractive real estate in a market that is waking up with a vengeance after years of stagnation.
Our live event will give you a taste of the country and activate concrete, personal introductions to our partners on the ground who will help you actualize this comprehensive Latin American Plan B. You’ll meet expats who made Panama their home, geopolitical analysts, bankers, etc.
I think that now is the time to jump on Panama, and I hope this event gives you the impetus to explore this plan in earnest to decide if a Plan A or Plan B there is the right move for you.

Transcript of “32 Fellow Investors Joined Us in Buenos Aires for Our First Live Event”
LADISLAS MAURICE: The Wandering Investor hosted our first live event in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in March of 2026, and it was a resounding success.
Our team was joined by over 30 experienced investors from all over the world for four days of on-the-ground exploration to understand what is really going on in the Argentina business and investment landscape.
This was not an event where you just sat in a hotel room getting pitched to.
In keeping with the spirit of our brand, we got close up and personal with stakeholders in the country to get a candid perspective on Milei’s transformative reforms.
We visited headquarters of four of the largest publicly traded companies in Argentina across the energy, banking, and commercial real estate sectors, namely YPF, Pampa Energia, Cresud, and Grupo Galicia.
We had private meetings with deputies of La Libertad Avanza, Milei’s political party, and the president of the Central Bank of Argentina, local professors of economics and geopolitics, as well as other key players in the economic and political scene.
We also toured a curated selection of actionable property investments, both on the primary and secondary markets with our expert real estate partners, and our local immigration lawyer was on hand to help our guests envision their potential Plan B in Argentina.
Argentina being Argentina, we of course dined together at some of the city’s legendary steak houses.
The food was absolutely amazing, and the opportunity to mingle and network with like-minded investors, freedom seekers and passport enthusiasts over endless glasses of Malbec led to new friendships and partnerships for all involved.
