How much does the Sao Tome CBI cost?

Due diligence and processing fees:

Qualifying Investment in the National Transformation Fund:

  • Individual $90,000
  • Family of 2-4 members: $95,000
  • Each additional qualifying dependent: $5,000 (Dependent children up to 30 years of age may apply, as well as dependent parents over the age of 55)

Additional fees following approved application:

  • Passport issuance: $350
  • National ID card issuance: $150
  • Certificate of registration: $250

Spouses and Dependents

Following an approved application, you also have the option to naturalize future spouses and dependents for the following fees:

  • Spouse: $10,000
  • Other dependents: $5,000
  • Newborn child up to 1 year of age: $500

Documents required to apply for the São Tomé and Príncipe CBI Program

The main applicant is required to provide the following documents:

  • Completed application forms
  • Passport
  • Additional ID document, such as a National ID card
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of marital status (marriage certificate, divorce certificate or death certificate of spouse)
  • 4 Passport photos, 2 of them certified
  • Criminal background report from country of citizenship or residency (issued in the last 3 months)
  • Source of funds – employment letter or company license and shareholder certificate issued in the prior 6 months
  • Bank reference letter from a reputable financial institution dated within the last 6 months
  • Proof of address showing complete residential address
  • Completed medical examination by a licensed doctor (form provided by the program)
  • Affidavit of support for dependents over 18 years of age (template provided by program)

Spouse and each additional dependent must provide the following:

  • Completed application forms
  • Passport
  • Additional ID document, such as a National ID card
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of marital status (marriage certificate, divorce certificate or death certificate of spouse), if applicable
  • 4 Passport photos, 2 of them certified
  • Criminal background report from country of citizenship or residency (issued in the last 3 months)
  • Source of funds – employment letter or company license and shareholder certificate issued in the prior 6 months
  • Completed medical examination by a licensed doctor (form provided by the program)
  • Declaration of Consent – certified photo ID of non-accompanying parent and affidavit (form provided by the program)

 

 

How to apply for the Sao Tome and Principe Citizenship by Investment?

Step 1: Application Submission

The applicant will work with us to prepare a file including all application documents which will be sent to the Citizenship Investment Unit for review. 

Upon assessing completeness of the application, an invoice for the application fee in the amount of $5,000 will be issued and paid by the applicant. 

Step 2: Application Due-Diligence

The citizenship unit will perform a diligence checks and make a decision. The government will inform the Citizenship Unit of the result.

Step 3: Decision on Application

The Citizenship Investment Unit will issue Approval in Principle or a Rejection Letter. 

If approved, a new invoice in the amount of the total donation amount and document fees will be issued to the applicant.

Step 4: Post-Approval Requirements

The applicant has 90 days to complete the payment for the donation amount and document fees. Upon receipt of the funds, the Citizenship Invesment Unit will initiate the Certificate of Registration and apply for National ID card and Passport. 

Step 5: Document Issuance and Handover

The newly issued documents are handed over to the applicant.
