I enjoy going down the occasional rabbit hole not just for entertainment purposes, but because sometimes they can be sources of inspiration for business opportunities.
Mike, a real estate developer, did just that. He stumbled upon the phenomenon of EMF-sensitive people.
What is EMF?
EMF stands for electromagnetic fields. Cell phones, cell towers, power lines, etc can all be sources of various such fields to some degree. The vast majority of the population don’t feel them, but a small minority of people are sensitive to them.
Mike thus ran with this and is in the process of creating a low-EMF housing community. I was chatting with Mike when I was in Nicaragua earlier this year when he told me all about this project. After doing a bit of research on the topic I decided to interview him.
I find that it’s a fascinating case study of turning rabbit hole into opportunity and of diving into niche real estate segments
You can get in touch with Mike and his team if you want to find out more about this low-EMF housing project in Nicaragua.
Obviously, this is not meant to be an investment for capital gains or rental income. This is purely a lifestyle play for people who are sensitive to, or concerned about, EMF.
Personally, I find the business case study insightful.
