I’m not here to sell you a fantasy about Argentina. It’s a country with real potential and real challenges, and understanding it—whether for a lifestyle move, investments, or a Plan B—takes more than online research. You need to see it, ask tough questions, and form your own conclusions, all while soaking in the vibrant energy of Buenos Aires.
That’s why I’m hosting my first live event, The Wandering Investor: Buenos Aires 2026.
I’m Ladislas Maurice, and for over a decade, I’ve traveled to 100+ countries, put my own money into markets like this, and learned what works through hard-won, on-the-ground experience. This event isn’t about recycled internet tips. It’s about giving you the access I rely on—meeting the people shaping Argentina’s future, touring real properties, and cutting through the noise.

Why Buenos Aires in 2026?
Argentina is at a turning point. The Milei administration is shaking things up, drawing attention from investors, entrepreneurs, and those seeking a global Plan B. Whether you’re eyeing real estate, public markets, or a new base for your life, Buenos Aires is where it comes together. But it’s not enough to figure it out from a blog or video: You need to walk the streets, meet the decision-makers, and feel the market’s pulse.
That’s how I’ve always done it—boots on the ground, no shortcuts—and that’s what I’m offering you here in this first The Wandering Investor event.
This event is for people who want the real story from political minds and policy insiders, destination guides and Argentinian locals, local analysts and fund managers, and real estate agents and developers. You’d want to see properties and companies for yourself, not through a listing or press release. And you’d love to do that with a group of like-minded people who are both skeptical and driven.
What Is This Event About?
This five-day immersion takes you inside Argentina’s investment and lifestyle potential. It blends structured learning, destination exploration, and informal networking, all rooted in Buenos Aires’ old-world charm.

Bottom Line, What Can You Learn and Take Away?
I’ve made plenty of investments—and mistakes—in emerging markets like Argentina. This event is about sharing not only what I’ve learned so you can move smarter and faster, but how I approach it.
You’ll take away:
- A Balanced/Informed Take on the Argentina Story: Get personal insight from political insiders and regional experts on what’s driving reforms, what risks to watch, and what’s misunderstood online. Understand capital controls, market cycles, and how to assess opportunities in a volatile country.
- Real Estate Fundamentals: See a curated array of properties over two days, from restored historical homes to modern units with investment potential. Learn to navigate the market, evaluate deals, understand legal processes (titles, notaries), and assess risks like liquidity or regulatory changes.
- Investment Outlook Beyond Real Estate: Meet management teams and fund managers to explore publicly listed companies, venture capital, and other interesting opportunities. Discover frontier market strategies that don’t show up on AI.
- Avoiding Pitfalls: Hear about my missteps in emerging markets and how to avoid them. Learn to spot red flags, conduct due diligence, and navigate Argentina’s challenges (e.g., currency issues, legal quirks, red tape, more).
Exploring Residency and Citizenship in Argentina
Argentina offers pathways to residency and citizenship that can fit into a global Plan B, whether you’re seeking freedom, visa-free travel, or a new home base. We’ll provide a high-level overview of how these options work and what’s involved. For those interested, we can dive deeper into specifics on-site, with guidance from my trusted immigration lawyers, realtors, bankers, and more to clarify the process and provide an opportunity to take next steps if you want to go further while on the ground.
Why Live Events?
Expand Your Global Network Offline. The internationalization journey can feel lonely. You’re digging through forums, watching videos, but it’s hard to find people who’ve done it and can discuss openly without pushing a particular agenda. This event is about changing that.
- Connect with Me Directly: I’m not here to be an online guru talking head. I’ll be there, sharing what I’ve learned, and having a great time with you all.
- Meet Like-Minded Attendees: Join a curated group of high-net-worth investors, family office types, digital nomads, and everything in between.
- Access the Real Players: Visit company offices, meet developers, and talk to policy insiders, professors, and fund managers shaping Argentina’s future.
- Form Lasting Bonds: Over delicious inspiring menus and late-night drinks at the Hub, build relationships that last beyond the week.
Return on Investment
I don’t sell fantasies, but I know that value matters, especially when setting aside time, money, and energy for an event like this.
Event participation can lead to:
- Clarity for Investment Decisions: Whether you’re eyeing a lifestyle move, a Plan B, or portfolio diversification, you’ll leave with a clear, actionable sense of the place based on real-world insights.
- Time and Money Saved: Skip months of research, chasing bad leads, or making costly mistakes. One insight—like spotting a better deal or avoiding a pitfall—can cover the ticket price.
- Exclusive Access: Get intelligence fund managers pay thousands for: direct meetings with management teams, experts, and policy insiders, plus property tours showing the real market.
- Practical Next Steps for a Changing Argentina: Walk away with trusted referrals and a new perspective put in the context of your wider global plan.
- Fun, Social Connections, and a New Perspective: For lifestyle seekers, see why Buenos Aires is a vibrant, affordable base. For investors, unlock opportunities in the market or potential for group investing.

Why I Created This Event
Argentina is one of those places—alluring, complex, sometimes frustrating—but full of hidden gems and interesting plays if you know where to look. Many of you have told me you’re tired of wading through AI-generated noise and hype, feeling alone in your research, or chasing contacts who don’t deliver in the countries you visit.
This event is my answer: It’s about getting you on the ground, in rooms where decisions are made, with the people shaping Argentina’s future—developers, professors, policy insiders, and fund managers. You’ll see properties to consider or be inspired by, speak freely to ask the questions of local minds that you are most curious to know, and meet a group of cool people who share your drive.
